Lakshmi

Lakshmi, which means sign of fortune, is the Goddess of success and prosperity. She is depicted holding a lotus flower in one of her hands and sitting on another lotus flower. Lakshmi is the consort (radiating energy force) of Lord Vishnu and is the perfection of Shakti, the Universal Mother. During Deepavali, devotees light oil lamps to invite Her into their home and pray for ability to give generously to spiritual and humane causes.

Lakshmi Abhishekam is performed every Friday evening in the temple. A special puja is held at Deepavali.
